The annual Pet Celebration and St. Luke’s pet blessing will return to Ballard Commons Park on Sunday, Oct. 4, from noon to 3 p.m.
The event invites people to bring their pets for a short blessing service. Those who want to remember a pet they have lost can bring a photo or share a memory. People can also attend without a pet.
After the service, attendees can meet local nonprofits and shelters and learn how to get involved with animal care in the community. Local pet businesses will share resources, and the event will offer a chance for neighbors to connect with other pet owners and animal lovers.
The pet blessing will take place at Ballard Commons Park from noon to 3 p.m.
