Work to build the Missing Link of the Burke-Gilman Trail is already underway, and the city is hosting an upcoming information sessions for people to learn about the project.
The project, now known as the Ballard Multimodal Corridor Project, will connect the Burke-Gilman in Ballard between the Locks and Fred Meyer. The first phase of the project has been utility verification work at the west end of the corridor, near the Locks.
The tree removal on Market St has been delayed: originally planned for April 21, SDOT now says they’ll be removing trees “when construction begins”.
The information session will be held at the Nordic Museum on May 7 from 6:30pm to 8pm. You can drop in anytime during the session to review the display boards and chat with the project staff, but there will be no presentation.
