First annual Ballard Wine Walk is later this month

In mid-October, Washington wineries and local shops are joining forces to host the first annual Ballard Wine Walk.

The event, organized by Visit Ballard, will be on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 6pm to 9pm — participating venues and wineries are below:

Each of the 10 shops will offer wine tasting from one of the 10 wineries, with the Columbia Bank NeighborHub acting as the event headquarters. Participants can check in, get their wristbands, map, and tasting tickets from NeighborHub, and then make their way through Ballard tasting wine.

Ten tasting tickets will cost $25 if bought in advance, or $30 at the door. They’ll also sell an additional three tasting tickets for $10. Visit Ballard will be selling commemorative tasting glassware for $5.

  1. Will this event be free for the junkies in the neighborhood? It’s not really fair to exclude our venerable community members from neighborhood events like this. Perhaps we could find a way to be more inclusive next time.

      1. Someone has to stick up for our most venerable. I’m sorry you don’t feel that way. I’ve written a letter to council to see if they will allow for permanent RV parking on Ballard Ave. next to all the bars a restaurants. They seemed very receptive to the idea.

        1. Great trolling here. Love how you’ve created an account “3” instead of the original “2”. Same here with “kong” instead of “king”. Keep up the great work! Classic!

          1. Very creative, you clearly have mastered using the internet. Keep it up!

    1. The event is 25 dollars in advance, or 30 dollars at the door, whether you live in a house, an apartment, an RV, or a tent. No free wine, regardless of your social status.
