Plans are in the works to replace the community center and pool at Green Lake, and the City is seeking input from residents on the future location of the facilities.
Seattle Parks and Recreation is still in the early planning phases for determining the new location—currently, six possible sites have been identified, spanning from the greater area around Green Lake Park and Lower Woodland Park.

The Parks department and design team from Miller Hull are hosting an online open house, available now until May 22. The interactive website has information about each location, and includes a questionnaire for users to provide feedback.
Seattle Parks will also host a live webinar presentation on May 13 from noon to 1pm about the relocation project; you can join by registering here.
Seattle Parks says the purpose of the presentation is to weigh the benefits and challenges of each potential location and provide feedback on which locations work best for the community.
The current Green Lake Community Center was built in 1928, and the Evans Pool was added in 1955. Both are open year-round for programs and drop-in use. Seattle Parks is currently conducting building stabilization work—replacing boilers and air handling system—to keep it operational.
As a reminder, the Green Lake Community Center and Evans Pool are closed to the public to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. However, the showers are open to those who need them from Monday to Friday, 10am to 8pm, and Saturdays 9am to 4:30pm.
