Ballard Alliance seeking artists for public art projects

The Ballard Alliance is looking for artists to participate in upcoming public art projects around the neighborhood.

According to the organization, artists can sign up for updates about projects including murals, utility box artwork, and other public art partnerships through the Ballard Alliance Artist Roster form.

The organization shared several upcoming opportunities, including what they’re calling the Community Painted Panels project, where artists would create designs for 4-by-8-foot panels and lead community members in painting them during an event. The completed panels will be displayed in vacant storefronts.

Other opportunities include creating digital artwork for vinyl utility box wraps and potential future mural projects.

The Ballard Alliance created an interactive map of its public art installations:

The Ballard Alliance says artists interested in participating in current or future projects can sign up through the Artist Roster form. Questions can be directed to Ballard Alliance Public Art representative Wren Wilson (wren at ballardalliance.com).
