Spring sports registration now open for Ballard Boys & Girls Club

The Ballard Boys & Girls Club has just opened registration for several spring sports programs.

There are programs for kids as young as 3, starting with coed HappyFeet Soccer (ages 3 to 6). The soccer program includes eight classes, and will happen at the Ballard Boys & Girls Club field on Saturdays from April 6 to June 8. Each child who joins will get a dedicated coach that will teach soccer moves and general fitness, plus a HappyFeet team jersey.

The coed Tee Ball program is for kids ages 4 to 6, and will run three times per week from April 1 to June 7. Each team will consist of seven to nine players and will be coached by volunteer parent coaches. There will be eight to ten games for the season, and six to eight practices. The program will allow every player to try their hand at everything: each will get to bat each inning and play different positions in the field throughout the game and season. Participants will also get a club t-shirt jersey and baseball cap.

The Girls Volleyball program for grades 3-5 will meet up to three times per week from April 1 to June 7. The club says this is a great program for beginner and intermediate players. The teams will meet two times a week for practice or a game, and will likely play eight to ten matches per season.
