Get Plugged Into Ballard

September 19, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

The Ballard Alliance and Sustainable Ballard are partnering up once again to bring you, Get Plugged Into Ballard (GPIB). GPIB is a neighborhood social that offers our Ballard residents, business owners and their employees a chance to meet one another and learn more about the ways in which they can become more involved and engaged in the Ballard Non-Profit Community.

Please join us for an evening to mix, mingle and share a pint with your neighbors and local non-profits on Wednesday, September 19th, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lucky Envelope Brewing. There will be a complementary beverage for the first 100 guests.

Meet our Get Plugged Into Ballard Non-profit Representatives:
Ballard Branch of The Seattle Public Library
NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness)
Ballard NW Senior Center
REACH – Evergreen Treatment Services
Sustainable Ballard
Visit Ballard / Ballard Alliance
Seattle Public Utilities – Adopt-A-Street Program

A huge THANKS to our sponsors for helping us share this event with you! Our local businesses do so much for the Ballard community and these folks always go above and beyond:
Lucky Envelope Brewing | Grove and Kane | New Seasons Market | KAVU | Verity Credit Union

**NEW** We have added a Toiletry Drive to this Get Plugged into Ballard for those interested (not required to attend the event). The Ballard Alliance is focused on collecting items that will directly help the homeless in Ballard get through the winter. These items will be used by Ballard’s Mental Health and Homeless Outreach Case Manager, Paige Killinger (employed by Ballard Alliance and REACH). These items will help Paige connect with her homeless clients and guide them to the services they need. Here is a list of specific items requested:
Hand warmers/feet warmers
Protein bars/cereal bars
Tube socks
Hand sanitizer /moist towelettes
Men’s and women’s undergarments
Sleeping bags
Travel size toiletries
Dry shampoo
Lice kits
First aid kits
Bottled water

Additionally, SoSo Good food truck will be onsite serving up so so good dinner.

As the Ballard neighborhood grows and transforms, there is an ever-pressing need to maintain a sense of community. More than ever, there are people living in the neighborhood looking for ways to meet people and have a positive impact on the neighborhood and surrounding communities. We look forward to meeting and sharing our great community partners with you!
