Feces smeared on political signs

Posted by Geeky Swedes on October 7th, 2008

As the country focuses its attention on tonight’s debate between Senator Obama and Senator McCain, a Crown Hill man is wondering who stunk up his political signs. According to the 911 blog, several of the man’s McCain-Palin signs in the 9500 block of 14th Ave. had… um… animal feces rubbed on them. One of the signs was burned. And more feces was smeared on the man’s window where he “had an American flag and a message inside the house facing the street,” explains the police report. A suspect has not been found.

Gross... and what's the point there? Do the vandals think that this guy is going to change his vote because of some dog poop on his signs?
  • This certainly gives a new meaning to the term "mudslinging."

i have always hated smear campaigns
  • boardbrown
There's nothing like some poop to make us Democrats look like compassionate neighbors...
  • Roy Hobbs
And this is one of the reasons why you don't see a whole lot of Republican yard signs. I don't need vandals targeting my house because of my political beliefs.

    stupid kids...
  • Well, if people picked up after their dogs this wouldn't happen!!!!
  • MrFantastic
How do we know it was from a dog? Just asking...
  • If we picked up the homeless so they didn't poop on the sidewalk, this wouldn't happen!!!!

Hahahaha! (I'm laughing at the conversation, not the crime.) I'm all about creative disdain, but not when it harms another's person or property. We'd be a lot more successful in cleaning up this country's messes if we focused on working together instead of party lines.

People have the right and the freedom to vote...no one should defame anyone's property just because they do not agree with their politcal views...especially given the fact someone had to take the time to actually select, and then pickup said feces and then smear it...obviously someone with too much times on their hands, and now hopefully some poop too....

No doubt the same people who spray paint 'Condos suck' and 'F*** new Ballard' on other people's property. Sad little people who feel unloved.

I did think it was funny that Fox News did a breaking news story on this and also an interview with the gentleman. One of their own no doubt.

Given what Palin and McBush have been saying these days with their new smear campaign - you would think there might be more vandalism.
  • Angelatini
I find all of it funny. I admit it.

    so what?

Republicans burn crosses, democrats smear feces... isnt this what america has come to ?

We need to drop this 2 party system so we cam all get a better appreciation for multiple viewpoints.

BTW: im not sure this is what the founding fathers meant by "Free speech"
  • linus
ITA that this reflects more poorly on the the free-speech-putter-downers than the McCaniacs. If it was on Fox... see? Only gives them ammo.

And I am one who believes in the the freedom to burn the flag - that's different. In fact, how much more eloquently can a flag speak for the freedom it represents than whilst aflame, with its ignitor scot-free?
  • aptgal
    McCainiacs???? GOOD ONE LINUS!!!!
  • mr.brown
    "stupid kids"...
    not likely
