Veraci Pizza opening later this month

We stopped by the Veraci Pizza oven at the Fremont Market on Sunday to get an update on their preparations to open their first restaurant.

They said they’re planning to open October 29th on Market St. and 6th Ave. That makes two restaurant startups in the same month launched by successful food vendors at the Ballard-Fremont markets.

    Veraci seems to be a MUCH better product than the previous two attempts. Kind of a funky location, though. Busy, tight corner that's not easy to access.

    Not to segue, but has anybody been to Via Verde (the other wood fire pizza place on Market)? Everytime I walk by, there's never many people in there.

    I tried Veraci last weekend and I was not impressed. I've heard all this hype about it but , the slice I tried didin't live up to my expectation's .
    I have had Via verde and it was better than Veraci .
