Yes, it’s that dreadful day that has procrastinators everywhere rushing around to find their paperwork for Uncle Sam.

Taco del Mar is trying to help ease the financial pain of April 15th by offering a free taco to those who fill out the Free Taco 1099 Coupon. The coupons are good at all locations, including the Taco del Mar at 6101 15th Ave NW.
Also on tax day, Starbucks is encouraging people to make the switch from paper cups to reusable travel mugs. “One person can save trees, together we can save forests,” their website states. Bring in your reusable mug to any Starbucks on April 15th and receive a free cup of brewed coffee.

Then I guess you won't be enjoying a free taco then.

nope, cuz I've never liked their food.
I don't pay more taxes than I owe, and I don't mind paying the taxes that I do owe. I don't expect something for nothing. Too bad so many in our society do.
enjoy your free taco and self pity at having to pay something to live in a civilized society.

Taco Loco (the trailer on the dirt lot by the bridge on 15th) is pretty good, although I got a pebble in my frijoles last time I ate there- not sure how that happened.
I'm glad you yuppie liberals are happy to pay for your corrupt, antinomian government- there are always just enough votes in King County for the Democrat! I myself don't even have a job in the US so it's all the same to me.

what me worry?
thanks for adding to my vocabulary today – new word: antinomian.

Funny, WA state seemed perfectly civilized when sales taxes were under 6% with no income tax.

Taxes are the price we pay to live in a decent place. I pay a reasonable figure.

um… not sure I get your point. The subject was federal tax returns and federal taxes are based on income. We are taxed one way or another (feds via income, WA state via sales) to provide services that benefit the public. Do I like *all* the ways my tax dollars are spent? Of course not. But we can't have too many cooks in the kitchen and still get something done. So – we have an elected government who makes those decisions – some that I approve of and some that I don't. Doesn't mean I get to pick and choose what I pay taxes for.
Oh and by the way – when people stopped buying crap, sales tax receipts declined. In other words, the effective sales tax rate went down because you don't pay sales tax on things you don't buy.
Those of you who don't like paying taxes – did you support invading Iraq? Now there's a use of tax dollars (not to mention citizens' lives) that was/is a total waste. Because Saddam was such a supporter of terrorism and had lotsa scary WMD – not!

” did you support invading Iraq”
Nope. No, US dollars or lives a should be spent saving people from dictatorships and screwed up cultures.
