9:35 p.m. Police shut down 85th St. between 27th and 28th Ave. after several witnesses reported two vehicles shooting at each other as they drove eastbound on 85th.

The two vehicles, a blue four-door sedan and a grey four-door sedan, split in different directions at 24th Ave., according to police. They’ve yet to be located, and there are no reports of injuries.

Officers closed 85th to collect shell casings along the roadway as evidence. Witnesses tell us it sounded “just like fireworks.” Silver has posted a few more details from the police scanner in the forum.
