One of Ballard’s funnest 5k’s is looking for volunteers. The 5th annual Seattle Turkey Trot to benefit the Ballard Food Bank is coming up on Thanksgiving morning.

Nancy McKinney from the Ballard Food Bank tells us that more than two dozen more volunteers are needed to pull the event off. She says people are needed the day before turkey day to hand out t-shirts and needed the morning of the event to help out with registration, traffic control and more. People can volunteer and participate – just let organizers know your plan before the event so they can place you accordingly.
