We received a tip from a reader that Five Guys Burger and Fries is coming to Ballard, and could be filling one of the ground-level retail spaces in the apartment building on the corner of 15th and Market. We called the Northgate Five Guys today, who confirmed that the franchise is opening in Ballard, but couldn’t tell us the exact location. They did say that they expect to be open early next year.
Five Guys is a chain of burger joints, boasting that they only serve fresh ground beef (no freezers at Five Guys, just coolers, their website says). In 2012, Five Guys was the fastest-growing restaurant chain in the U.S., according to a Forbes article. We’ll update when we learn any new information on when and where they’ll be opening.
