Leg bone on top of warehouse found to be non-human

On Friday, we told you about a man who called police after finding a leg bone on top of a warehouse on th 2600 block of NW Market St. in Ballard. As it turns out, the bone was determined to be non-human by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office (however, they couldn’t tell us from what animal it came).

Mark Jamieson from the Seattle Police Department says this sort of thing happens occasionally. “People find bones from time to time, they don’t know what to do with them, and they kind of freak out,” he explained over the phone this morning. “But, it’s usually just an animal bone.”
