Ballard-wide scavenger hunt to benefit NW Parkinson’s Foundation

NWPF Adventure Race LogoA local group is organizing a Ballard-wide scavenger hunt, the funds from which will go to benefit the Northwest Parkinson’s Foundation. Registration is now open for the Adventure Race for Parkinson’s, which will happen Saturday, Oct. 5.

The guidelines are the following: groups of two to three people can enter, and the hunt will take each group around Ballard, to landmarks and businesses, where they’ll have to perform mental or physical tasks to get the next clue to move on. The race will start promptly at 11 a.m., with a post-hunt party with food and beverages. The cost is $35 per person plus some registration fees.

The hunt is both a race and a scavenger hunt: You’ll be on foot, walking, jogging, maybe even sprinting to as many of the stops as possible during the allotted time,” according to the event information. “Your team will need a strategy as the stops have different point values and you may not be able to get to all of them in time.”
