Two suspects arrested after breaking into home near Carkeek Park

Early this morning a North Seattle resident dialled 911 to report that two gunman had burst into his home near Carkeek Park and held him at gun point. SPD officers arrived on the scene and arrested the two suspects in the victim’s yard. Check out more from the SPD blotter post:

The man said the suspects had burst into his house, in the 12500 block of 7th Ave NW, minutes earlier, but that he was able to escape after a friend—who was also in the home—used a Taser on one suspect.

The caller ran and hid under the porch of a nearby home and called 911.

Officers arrived, quickly arrested two suspects in the yard of the victim’s home and called robbery detectives to investigate.

Police initially took a third man into custody at the scene, but he is not believed to be a suspect and was released. The investigation remains very convoluted, and detectives are trying sort out whether this was a robbery attempt or some other type of confrontation.

Police are not looking for any additional suspects in the case.
