The folks at Ballard Beer Company (2050 NW Market St) are launching the first of their weekly “Pints with a Purpose” fundraisers today.

Starting this Wednesday and continuing weekly the team will donate a dollar from every pint sold to a local cause or organization that supports our community. This month’s recipient is the Ballard Chamber of Commerce.

“We are kicking things off this Wednesday by tapping a fresh keg of @PopuluxeBrewing Citra Fresh Hop Red,” says Ballard Beer Company owner Greg Anderson.

The Ballard Beer Company team would also love to have input from the local community about which causes or organizations that should be supported. Each week from Tuesday – Thursday locals with a cause or an organization that they want to support can request that a dollar from each pint sold go towards their cause of choice. On Wednesday the cause will be chosen and announced to patrons.

“Ideally the cause will fall under one of the broad categories of Arts, Biking, Education, Human Services, Parks, Small Business and more generally anything that benefits the Ballard community,” says Anderson.

If you have a suggestion for a great local organization that should be supported contact Ballard Beer company at info@ballardbeercompany.com, post something on their Facebook page or simply stop by.

Ballard Beer company is open Tuesday through Friday 4 p.m. – 11 p.m., Saturday 12 p.m. – 11 p.m.and Sunday 12 p.m. – 8 p.m.
