Train hits and kills man at Carkeek

My Ballard tipster Silver heard the call on the scanner Wednesday night and dropped us a note about an Amtrak train who hit and killed a man on the tracks up at Carkeek Park. Sure enough, police say the victim is a young man around the age of 27. “I am so glad I don’t have to do the kind of work that our police officers and firefighters do every day,” writes Silver. “They are very professional when faced with this sort of tragedy.”
