I was down at the very busy Ballard Blossom picking up some Valentines Day flowers this morning, and I asked how they’re were holding up. Much better than last year, said a clerk, who said they brought in some extra help. If you can believe it, they’re handling 1,600 deliveries today — they were booked up late yesterday afternoon — and the phones are still ringing off the hook.
Even with all the craziness, it only took them ten minutes to whip up a bouquet of roses for me. Gotta love Ballard Blossom.
