Phinney group prepares to buy school building

The Phinney Neighborhood Association, which has leased the old John B. Allen School since 1981, is getting ready to make an offer to buy the buildings from the Seattle School District, reports the Ballard News-Tribune. The city recently established the school as a historical landmark, which should make it more affordable for the PNA to buy the facility.
