Historic sign stolen from Olympic Athletic Club

You know that old, rusted arrow with the burned out bulbs that hung next to the Olympic Athletic Club on Ballard Avenue? Someone ripped it off, said Mark Durall, the club’s general manager. “It was 50 years old, and that’s what really irks me,” Durall said. “Whoever did this had to have a ladder and several tools.” He said two men approached him last month asking if he would sell it, but the club had already set aside $10,000 to refurbish the sign to its former glory. Looks like those two guys are the prime suspects, if you ask me. Durall is offering a $500 reward for the sign, “no questions asked.”
