Ballard Jazz Festival gets underway

While the biggest events kick off on Friday, the Ballard Jazz Festival officially begins tonight (Wednesday) with “The Brotherhood of the Drum” at the Sunset Tavern. It’s billed as “two days of bands led by Seattle’s finest drummers,” so stop on by. Matt Jorgensen, who’s playing Thursday night, says he’ll have an “undisclosed guest.” (Last year, Matt Cameron from Pearl Jam and Jason McGerr from Death Cab made a surprise appearance.) Tickets are $13. You can find the schedule, map and more information on BallardJazzFestival.com.
