Streetcar forum to be held in Ballard

The Seattle City Council has announced a series of public forums to talk about the possibility of extending the South Lake Union Streetcar to key Seattle neighborhoods, including Ballard and Fremont. (The original story about the proposed line is here, which generated quite a discussion.) The public forum for the Ballard-Fremont route will be held on July 8th at the Nordic Heritage Museum from 4-6 p.m. If you’re a fan of the new line, you might want to consider attending, as the Ballard-Fremont line may be competing for financing with proposed lines for downtown, Capitol Hill and the U. District.
