Vandals delay Burke-Gilman trail fix

SDOT says work to fix a section of the Burke-Gilman trail near Golden Gardens, originally damaged by plant growth, has been delayed because of vandalism.

Two different sections were damaged by people who scrawled various names in the wet concrete, like Johnny and Stella below.

“Crews were set to wrap up early, by January 13th, but must redo areas where there is now graffiti and damage to the wet concrete,” explains a press release. “SDOT expects to complete this work by the week of January 19th.”
