Watching a historic inauguration

If you were like us, you didn’t get much work done this morning. The inauguration captured our attention, both on TV and the web.

Kids at Salmon Bay Elementary clapped and cheered as Obama was sworn in, says My Ballard reader Beth, who sent us this photo.

Over at Aster Coffee on 24th this morning, KING 5 broadcast live while a big group of Ballardites watched on a big screen. “(It was) standing room only,” said Nicole in comments. “We sat on the ground. People clapped and cheered throughout. It was a great experience.”

The Barking Dog held a similar party this morning, and later in the evening people were still watching the replays, some cheering when the helicopter carrying George W.
