My Ballard reader Jordan was driving over the Ballard Bridge at noon when he spotted thick smoke coming from Fremont. A boat exploded while it was docked at a refueling station on Westlake Ave., and witnesses say quick action by the Harbor Patrol averted what may have been a devastating marina fire.
