A 10-year-old girl ran away from her Crown Hill home just after 9 p.m. last night. A police helicopter and officers on the ground searched into the night. “Neighbors are out on the street around 85th & 15th. I’ve seen people with their kids on their back looking for her,” My Ballard reader Andrew writes us. While we’re unable to get an official confirmation so far this morning, Louie in the forum says he heard on the scanner that she was successfully located in Queen Anne. We’ll update as soon as police are able to get back to us.

Seriously? Is there more to the story here that would bring out a police force like this for a voluntary running-away (i.e. not kidnapped)?
Man, back in my day running away was something all the cool 10 year-olds did…
Yeah. I must've threatened to run away 5 times a day when I was 10. I do hope she's been found, though.
Are the police going to investigate WHY she ran away? That might be the real problem.
I don't think refusing to give in to a 10 yr olds demands for a mobile phone is criminal.
No, but being sexually molested or beaten is and it would be nice if they just took a minute to make sure that this isn't the case or the next thing you will know everyone will be blaming the police for not doing their job when they had the chance. Better safe than sorry.
Always assume the worst…….must be fun being that paranoid.
Not paranoid, just a realist. But you will be the first on the bandwagon to place the blame if the police did not check it out and it turned out there was something going on I am sure.
Really, a helicopter? We thought something catastrophic was goin' down. Yeah, gotta be something more.
Are you a parent, crownpill?
