This is the final weekend to enjoy the Night Exhibit at the Woodland Park Zoo.

The zoo announced earlier this year that they must close the exhibit as a cost-cutting measure.
“The exhibit’s final closure date will be March 1, 2010,” the zoo website states. Some animals will be transferred to other exhibits at Woodland Park, others will be sent to other zoos.
Rats! Er, I mean Bats! My boys like this exhibit. Sayonara!
I wonder where they'll send the King Cobra?
I would let a few bats live in my basement.
We just saw this exhibit yesterday for the first time. Glad we got a chance before it's over. It was really great!
I will miss it. I can't believe that got the axe and the Pacific Northwest area stayed. I haven't been up to that area of the zoo in over 20 years. I don' t know anyone who goes up there except for kids who want to get high.
Cuz, you know, bears, otters, mountain goats and such just aren't cool anymore….
If you haven't been up there in 20 years then you probably don't know that the Pacific Northwest area is now among the coolest zoo exhibits in the nation. You can put your face inches away from grizzly's swimming underwater and be in an enclosure with free-flying eagles.
It's awesome… check it out!!
will the last one leaving the exhibit please turn the lights on?
HA! RudyT is a native!
It is only the night house part of the building that is closing – the day house, which has the snakes and other reptiles is staying open.
Last time I was in that building, they were trying to chase people out for closing, so they lights were pretty dim everywhere. I guess I lost track of what was nocturnal, and not. I'll say this seeing a King Cobra coiled in the shadows of a dark room is pretty freaky!
