Reminder: Free tax help available

Tax day is a little more than three weeks away and if you don’t know which box to fill out, what the deduct or how to itemize, free help is available. The Seattle Public Library, United Way of King County and the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) are offering free tax preparation services at eleven Seattle library branches, including Ballard. Trained volunteers will be available to answer questions and help prepare personal tax returns. Business tax returns are not eligible for the free service.

Help is available at the Ballard Library (5614 22nd Ave NW) now through Thursday, Apr. 15. Volunteers are on hand on Mondays from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
