Teenage girl’s condition improves

The teenage girl involved in last weekend’s fatal car wreck is improving. A media relations representative with Harborview Medical Center tells us this morning that her condition has been upgraded from “critical” to “serious.” The teenager was sitting in the back seat behind the driver when the car slammed into the Taco Time sign on Market St.

SanJuanJournal.com is reporting that the teenager is an International student at Spring Street International School in Friday Harbor. Admissions Director Jerry Riley tells the Journal that the second-year-student sustained a head injury and underwent surgery to relieve pressure on her brain. You can read more about the student in the entire article from the San Juan Journal. (Thank you MsBallard30 for posting the link in the forum.)

  1. You must admit it's a bit sketchy for a 15 year old girl to be hanging out with 20 year old boys an hour from her home in the middle of the night.

Is her family in this country? Who was responsible for her?

I am glad to hear her condition is improving.

  2. Only if you were flying could you get from Friday Harbor to Ballard in an hour. It takes almost two hours to get to the ferry terminal alone, plus there is the ferry ride after that.
