A piece of art has been nailed to a couple poles in Ballard.
Seattle Art tweets, “Anyone know what this is? Object near Shilshole and 17th in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood.”

Its a local artist fella from my hood, East Ballard. I think he just has extra artwork and is spreading it around.
Well, it’s definitely a depiction of a shoggoth, but how it got there is anybody’s guess.
Anybody noticed any fishermen starting to walk a little strangely and mutter “Ia! Ia! Cthulhu fthagn!” under their breath?
I saw this leaning against a tree on side street between Fred Meyers and Market (closer to Fred Meyers). Probably the same person Gil Gal mentioned.
I would love to see more of this guy’s stuff, if he has a website or anything.
Ah say some of those there fisherman do seem to be sportin’ a bit of the old “Innsmouth Look”, if you follow me son.
This guy lives on the corner of 51st and 11th. He usually has several of this paintings out for sale along the sidewalk. So Alexis if you would like to see more, swing by there.
Looks like a bicyclist that was run over by a Salmon Bay truck because there was no bike trail for him to safely ride on.
I bet ballard oil and SB$G are getting their lawsuits started as we speak to stop this proliferation of art for the sake of safety.
Art on telephone poles is so guerilla. Yawn.
Another reason why I love Ballard and Seattle. Very nice.
Is it still art if I add a cardboard sign underneath it that says “FREE”?
