Coach Carroll draws a crowd at Ballard QFC

New Seahawks Coach Pete Carroll stopped by the new Ballard QFC this afternoon to sign copies of his new book on leadership, “Win Forever.”

A big crowd waited in a long line that stretched outside the building. Many wore Seahawks uniforms, and we spotted a few folks wearing USC’s cardinal and gold.

All of the proceeds of the book go to Carroll’s nonprofit organization, “A Better LA,” which helps kids and families in Los Angeles’ toughest neighborhoods.

In writing about the timing of the book, Seattle Times columnist Danny O’Neil explained that Carroll’s story “looks different” in the wake of the NCAA sanctions against the coach’s former school. “Right now he is promoting a book that touts the reasons for USC’s unprecedented success at precisely the time that success is being questioned,” he writes.

Regardless, Seahawks fans hope that Carroll can “Win Forever.” The first pre-season game is scheduled August 14th against the Titans at Qwest Field.
