Ballard High School pit orchestra wins for Cabaret

Congratulations to the Ballard High School pit orchestra, winners of the 5th Avenue Theater Outstanding Orchestra Award for their spring musical, Cabaret.

The musical also received two Honorable Mentions – in the Outstanding Direction category and to Macklin Hamilton in the Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Featured Ensemble Role category.

Other BHS nominations for Cabaret included Outstanding Scenic Design, Outstanding Costume Design, Outstanding Program Design and Outstanding Lighting Design. Eliza Palasz, playing the role of Sally Bowles, was nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role.

The awards were on June 6th and honor excellence in High School Musical Theater.
