Artwork wanted to fill empty storefront

Art could soon fill the “big black hole in the neighborhood” that is the empty store front next to U-Frame-It (5601 20th Ave NW.)

We spoke with Karol Priebe, the contact person for the project, who says that they would like artists to come look at the space and give her a thumbnail of what they have in mind as a window installation. “If somebody is going to take the effort to put something up, I’d like to see it up at least a month,” Priebe tells us. The goal is to fill the storefront as soon as possible with something more visual than the empty space and “for lease” sign in the window.

If you are an artist, or know of an artist who may be interested, you can contact Karol at (206) 784-7565 or stop in to U-Frame-It. (Thanks Robby for the tip!)
