Register now for fall classes at community centers

Although brochures haven’t come in the mail yet, registration is now open for fall 2011 courses at the Ballard Community Center (6020 28th Ave NW) and the Loyal Heights Community Center (2101 NW 77th St). Learn to Zumba, make Indian food or enroll your kids in one of the many activities.

Some special events are:

Parents’ night out
Ages 2 – 7
Sign up for a spot in the ever-popular Parent’s Night Out. We will be providing child care for three hours, a wholesome snack, and giving parents a chance to have some time to themselves on a Friday night. Spots are limited, so sign up now!
Ballard Community Center on October 28 from 6 to 9 p.m. $15.
Loyal Heights Community Center on October 21, November 18, December 2 from 6 to 9 p.m. $20.

Haunted Bounce
Join us for the Haunted Bounce. This Green Halloween event is kid-tested and parent-approved: no candy, all fun; prizes included. All Ages.
Ballard Community Center. October 28th 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Halloween Carnival
Join us for a fright fest of activities, games and challenges. We will have an area for toddlers, refreshments and prizes. Do not forget to show us your very best costume and to bring a bag to collect your goodies.
Loyal Heights Community Center. October 28th 6 to 8 p.m.

Holiday Art Sale
Professional artwork by local artists. Purchase a unique gift that will be treasured including; ceramics, hand woven items, prints and holiday cards, jewelry, holiday decorations, painting and prints, and so much more. Activities will include musical entertainment, a visit from Santa, kids crafts, refreshments, and family activities. We will also provide a drop & shop area to allow you time to find that perfect gift.
Loyal Heights Community Center 1 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 9th and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 10th.
