NBA player hosts ‘Hoop Jam’ in Ballard

Over Labor Day weekend, Sacramento Kings’ new guard and former UW Husky star Isaiah Thomas will be hosting his first “Back to School Hoop Jam” at Ballard High School (1418 NW 65th St.)

On Saturday and Sunday, Thomas will be on the court with boys and girls ages seven to 17, teaching skills and doing drills. The two-day clinic is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day followed by a 3-on-3 tournament from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday. The three days is $125 which includes a t-shirt, chances to win prizes and learning from one of the best players to come out of UW. The 3-on-3 tournament is $50 for an individual and $95 for a team.
