Help Ballard students discover nature

For years Seattle Audubon has worked with Adams Elementary fourth graders, introducing them to nature in their own schoolyard.

This year, Seattle Audubon needs three to four more volunteers for its Finding Urban Nature (FUN) program. Volunteers work with small groups of four to five students for four, one-hour lessons, over the course of four Fridays. “At this time, even volunteers who can make two or more of the Friday morning sessions would be welcome,” Marieke Stientjes Rack the volunteer coordinator with Seattle Audubon tells us. “Seattle Audubon has been able to provide this high quality program, including small group instruction, because of volunteers.”

If you’re interested in volunteering, send an email to: volunteerc@seattleaudubon.org. A background check is required.
