A 19-year-old man is accused of assaulting a woman at Carkeek Park on Monday morning. The woman was running through the park and passed the man twice as he sat on a bench. After the second pass, she says the suspect attacked her from behind and put her in a neck hold. She was able to fight him off after what police are calling a “serious struggle.”
Police interviewed the suspect on Wednesday and booked him into the King County Jail for Investigation of Attempted Rape.
