Work of former Ballard teacher to be erected at Smithsonian

A totem pole carved by former Ballard High School teacher David Boxley will soon grace the National Museum of the American Indian at the Smithsonian in Washington D.C.

King5 reporter Eric Wilkinson put together this piece on Boxley:

Boxley is a world-renowned carver with a 40-foot totem pole at Disney’s Epcot Center.

The 22-foot-tall totem totem pole for the Smithsonian will be permanently installed at the Smithsonian on January 14th. (Thanks Susan for the tip!)
