Shilshole Gateway work party today

Today is a work party for the Shilshole Gateway on Sunset Hill from 9 a.m. to noon. Dave Boyd tells us they hope to plant bare root shrubs as the second phase of improving the ends of the 36th Ave NW median. Boyd says the shrubs are, “low-maintenance, low-growing plants to keep sight lines clear.” He also says they will,”improve safety and enhance the appearance of this important connection between Sunset Hill and Shilshole.” Boyd recommends work clothes and any tools you have suitable for weeding and planting, including wheelbarrows. Tools, safety vests ,and refreshments will be provided. The work will done on 36th Ave NW median, just south of NW 62nd St. and just north of NW 60th St.
