Whittier Elementary’s Annual Giving Campaign starts today

Whittier Elementary’s Annual Giving Campaign, a fundraiser for everything from artists-in-residence to the library, starts today and goes through Friday, September 28.

“Please consider donating what you can – we’d love for all Whittier families participate, at whatever level possible,” according to the Whittier newsletter. To participate, complete and return the blue pledge card in the gold envelope (available at the school) before September 28. “Funds raised help to support a variety of things, including our artists-in-residence, our school library, our school nurse, Science on Wheels, Writers in the Schools, funding proposals from Whittier parents and staff, and staff discretionary funds,” according to the school.

From the newsletter:

All classrooms with at least 50% participation at the halfway mark will get an EXTRA RECESS on Monday, September 24, and all classrooms with at least 75% participation at the end of campaign will have a POPCORN PARTY on Monday, October 1 – so make sure that your child returns her pledge card!
