Sailing for Cancer Cures program set to start at Seattle Sailing Club

The Sailing for Cancer Cures program is now open, allowing novice sailors to learn the sport while raising funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The program is open to beginner sailors and lessons will be held at Seattle Sailing Club (7001 Seaview Ave NW).

The program allows beginners to take complimentary lessons from the Seattle Sailing Club, while committing to fund-raise $1000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Sailors will have 15 hours of combined classroom and on-water instruction through participating in the American Sailing Association’s 101 basic Keelboat course.

Upon completion of the training students will receive certification from the American Sailing Association and will have the opportunity to compete with their instructor and classmates in the Leukemia Cup Regatta on June 8, 2013, and attend the post Leukemia Cup party.

If you are interested in participating registration is now open. Sailing lessons will commence on weekends in May.
