A resident of the Belay Apartments (6559 15th Ave NW) emailed in to report that the bike locker in their building was broken into during the middle of the night last week. Reportedly, locks were cut through and a number of bikes were stolen.
According to the resident, some of the bikes were not locked up because it is normally secure and has a security camera. Police reports were filed after the incident, but as of Thursday last week residents were yet to be notified about the incident by Belay management.
“It’s just surprising to see something like this in the neighbourhood,” writes the resident.
