Development update Nov 25: Another subdivision and a mixed use 7-story building

The Land Use Bulletin unsurprisingly reports another subdivision application in Ballard this week. Check out the list of the latest applications and decisions from the Department of Planning and Development below:

Design Review Meeting:

A design review meeting will be held for the proposed construction of a 7-story mixed use structure with 78 residential units, 4 townhome units, 20,000
sq. ft. of office (levels 2-3) and retail at ground level.  Parking for 131 vehicles to be provided below grade.  Existing structure to be demolished.

The meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Monday, December 16 at Ballard Community Center (6020 28th Ave NW).

The Director will be accepting written comments to assist in the preparation of the early design guidance until December 16. The community is invited to comment on site planning and design issues which they believe should be addressed in relation to the design of this project. A Land Use Application has been made to subdivide one parcel into two parcels of land. Proposed parcel sizes are 2,539 sq. ft. and 2,461 sq. ft.
