Police return all items to rightful owners after package theft incidents in Ballard

Detective Coblantz reports that Shoreline Police have managed to successfully identify and return all items that were recovered from a car found full of stolen packages from the Ballard area earlier this month. The My Ballard team initially covered the story on December 17 when two people were arrested by Shoreline Police in relation to the theft.

Detective Coblantz emailed in to let us know that at this point all items have been identified by their rightful owners and have been returned and at this stage asks for no further emails from locals regarding missing items. Detective Coblantz has been inundated with emails about missing items and unfortunately is no longer able to assist as the items have all been returned.

If you do have information (including photos or video footage) on potential suspects who were involved in package theft in our neighborhood please email Detective Coblantz at Cary.Coblantz@kingcounty.gov

“I would like to thank the community members who stepped up and helped out, it will make the difference between nothing happening and suspect(s) being held accountable and serving time in jail and/or prison,” writes Detective Coblantz.

Detective Coblantz also reports that he has identified another group who has been targeting Ballard for package theft and will be working with SPD to hopefully close that case with another arrest.
