The 26th annual Fishermen’s Fall Festival is set for this Saturday from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Fishermen’s Terminal (3919 18th Ave W). The annual free event is a celebration of the return of the North Pacific fishing fleet to the terminal.

Festival organizers aim to increase public knowledge of the importance of the fishing industry as well as Fishermen’s Terminal to Seattle while raising money for the Seattle Fishermen’s Memorial Foundation. The festival is an all-volunteer run event that is made possible by the work of over 200 volunteers.

A variety of activities will be on offer for the whole family including hands-on art projects with fishing themes and the popular wooden boat building and trout pond. Participation in activities is complimentary for all children and admission to the festival is free. Proceeds from activities within the festival will be donated to the Seattle Fishermen’s Memorial to assist families of fishers lost at sea.

Festival goers will also be entertained by live music and have the chance to sample delicious seafood treats including the $10 salmon BBQ. Wine and beer will also be on offer in the beer and wine garden.
