UW Medicine has opened its latest clinic here in Ballard at 1455 NW Leary Way. The clinic offers comprehensive, coordinated care in sports medicine, physical therapy and primary care with three clinics inside the one location.
The My Ballard team first reported UW Medicine’s initial plans to open the clinic when they were first announced in July last year.
The UW Neighborhood Ballard Clinic offers locals primary care for all ages within the family. The clinic offers an on-site laboratory, digital X-ray facilities, and nutrition services.
Advanced Manual Therapy and Sports Rehabilitation, a division of Northwest Hospital’s The Sports Medicine Clinic, is also housed in the Ballard UW Medicine building. Their orthopedic physical therapy group provides expert sports and orthopedic rehabilitation through manual therapy, a method that employs skilled hand techniques and exercises to decrease pain, swelling and inflammation while improving coordination, mobility and strength in muscles and joints.
The clinic offers comprehensive pre- and post-surgical care, including orthopedic rehabilitation, treatment for sports injuries and motor vehicle accidents, podiatry services and therapy for the neck, back and hands.
UW Medicine Ballard is hosting an Open House this Saturday, February 7, from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. and all are welcome to attend.
The clinic will be open for extended hours six days a week, including evening and same-day appointments.
