Volunteers are needed to help build an outdoor classroom for the students of Salmon Bay School (1810 NW 65th St) on Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
This volunteer project will focus on preparing the area for a planned “rustic” outdoor classroom with log seating. The specific tasks will include clearing the area of weeds, putting down weed barriers and mulch.
The project will go ahead rain or shine. Volunteers are encouraged to wear jeans/long pants, closed toed shoes and layer for weather. Those who have garden gloves are also encouraged to bring them.
Water and coffee will be available, though plan to bring a snack or lunch to re-fuel midway through.
