Looking for somewhere to eat for Christmas or New Years? Ray’s Boathouse and Café (6049 Seaview Ave NW) and the Golden Beetle (1744 Northwest Market Street) are both offering a variety of menus with varying hours and cost.

CHRISTMAS EVE: December 24

  • Ray’s Boathouse will be open from 3 – 8 p.m. serving their regular menu as well as a special holiday inspired three-course dinner for $45, including a starter, choice of entrée, and dessert.
    • Reservations are strongly recommended and can be made at 206.789.3770 or here.
    • The Boathouse Bar will be open 3 – 8 p.m. serving their regular menu, excluding happy hour. No reservation is necessary for the Boathouse Bar.
  • Ray’s Café will be open from 11:30 a.m. – 8 p.m. serving their regular menu, including local favorites such as Pan Seared Sea Scallops and Alaskan King Crab Legs.

    • The Café Bar will be open from 11:30 a.m. – 8 p.m. serving their regular menu and happy hour drink and food specials such as Moscow Mules, Salmon Sliders, and Crispy Calamari. No reservation is necessary for the Café Bar.

  • Golden Beetle celebrates Christmas Eve with special happy hour pricing from 4:30 p.m. – close. There will be small plates and specially crafted cocktails.
    • The happy hour menu starts at $3 and includes Spicy Hummus and Pita Chips, Fire and Honey Chicken Wings, Mini Roasted Squash Pizza and Spiced Donuts.

CHRISTMAS DAY: December 25

  • Ray’s Boathouse will be open from 3 – 8 p.m., offering a three-course A La Carte menu and regular dinner menus.
    • The first course includes options such as Creamy Parsnip Soup with toasted pepitas, cayenne and paprika, and Dungeness Crab Cocktail with roasted tomato and cocktail sauce.
    • Entrées include: seafood favorites Grilled King Salmon and Pan Seared Halibut, and holiday classics, Oven Roasted Turkey and Spice Rubbed Prime Rib of Beef.
    • Dessert: Pumpkin Pie topped with Olympic Mountain vanilla ice cream.
    • Cost is $45 for adults and $22.50 for children ages 5 to 11 (children under 5 are free).
    • Reservations are strongly recommended and can be made at 206.789.3770 or online.
    • The Boathouse Bar will be open from 4 – 8 p.m. offering their normal menu, excluding happy hour. Reservations are not needed for the Boathouse Bar.
  • Ray’s Café will be open from 12 – 8 p.m., offering their signature Christmas Day buffet.
    • The buffet offers a variety of dishes; House Smoked NW Salmon with apple-pear chutney, Spice Rubbed Prime Rib of Beef to Baked Polenta with Wild Mushrooms and a Shucking Bar with Alaskan Snow Crab, Peel & Eat Prawns and Half Shell Oysters with mignonette, cocktail and lemons.
    • Other dishes include; Ray’s Antipasto comprised of cured meats, marinated mozzarella olives, and grilled vegetables; creamy Bay Shrimp Mac and Cheese, as well as cold salads, roasted vegetables, a dessert table filled with your favorite treats, and more.
    • The buffet cost is $45 for adults and $20 for children ages 5 to 11 (children under 5 are free).

NEW YEAR’S EVE: December 31

  • Golden Beetle offers a uniquely crafted, organic four-course meal on New Year’s Eve.
    • Cost is $50 and includes; Mediterranean classics such as, Goat Cheese Stuffed Medjool Dates with Meyer lemon gastrique; Dolmas Shrimp Briouats made with phyllo dough, chard, fire and honey; Roasted Root Vegetable Tagine served with barley risotto; and Black Walnut Baklava topped with crème fraiche.
    • An optional wine pairing is also available for $25 and includes wines from local wineries in Columbia and Yakima Valleys to imported bottles from Spain, France and Portugal.

  • Ray’s Boathouse will offer its regular menu full of fresh seafood, including Crispy Washington Razor Clams, Dungeness Crab Cakes, Crispy Garlic Prawns and more.
    • New Year’s toasting with a hand crafted cocktail, such as a White Peach Cosmo or a Champs Élysées, or red, white or sparkling wine by the glass.
    • Or celebrate with a sweet treat, such as a Milk Chocolate Mousse or a Deconstructed Washington Apple Pie.
  • Ray’s Café will feature its regular menus, offering local lunch and dinner favorites, such as Sautéed Tiger Prawns, Pacific NW Sablefish in Sake Kasu and Grilled Northwest King Salmon.

  •  There will be hangover Bloody Mary’s At Ray’s Café!
    • Spend your New Years morning with Ray’s Bloody Mary or an adult Cup of Joe made with Kraken spiced rum, Kahlua, dark crème de cocoa, Caffé Vita coffee and cinnamon sprinkle.
    • Sustenance include Ray’s Hot Wings Trio, Crispy Calamari or Painted Hills Ground Chuck Burger.
