The Bard is coming to Ballard: Shakespeare in the Park will be at Salmon Bay Park on Sunday, July 23.
Known as Backyard Bard, the traveling theater takes over small parks around the city for free, live performances of some of Shakespeare’s most famous plays. The Salmon Bay Park plays will be A Midsummer Night’s Dream at 3pm, and Hamlet at 4:30 pm on the 23rd.
If you can’t make it to the Ballard performance they’ll also be nearby at Sandel Park on August 6 with the same plays and show times.
The plays are put on by GreenStage, a performing arts company that has been operating in Seattle for 29 years. They’re putting on 62 free performances in 21 different parks around the city this summer, from July 14 – August 19. For the full Backyard Bard schedule, click here.
